Malcolm first qualified in 1979, and has worked as a consultant to major companies overseas, the South of England, and Central London. He specialises in contract procedures, urban design, passive standards of construction and private houses. He was a director of practices in Brighton and Mayfair before committing fully to his own Blackbox Architects, now based here in Cumbria. He currently holds several Civic Trust and building design awards in contemporary architecture and writes regularly in periodicals.
Chris Day

Chris commenced his architectural career with Black Box Architects in 2009 having taken a further Masters Degree in design and urban planning. Contributing to the success of the practice over many years, Chris became a Director of the firm in 2020, specialising in research design and private housing.
